After we finished the last Unruly Child record (and right about when Covid changed the collaborative landscape forever) I decided that I wanted to record some material in a slightly different vein. My background, initially, was in Jazz, and although I've always been the biggest fan of Fusion, from Weather Report to Snarky Puppy, I've never had the inclination to write and record any pieces in that genre - until now.
With the help of some of my good friends, who are incidentally some of the best musicians alive today, the collective contribution is exactly what I was hoping for. It's a mixture of instrumental music, traveling between Fusion, Smooth Jazz, Film Noir and an alchemy of influences that have filled my musical experiences.
